Friend Michael Kunat, as Chair of the German Section, organised an extraordinarily informative, lively and thematically wide-ranging ICC meeting between the two countries in Berlin in October 2024, which met with a great response from the 80 participants under the motto 20 years of Poland’s EU membership as a success story.
The participants emphasised the outstanding and exemplary presentation of an ICC in the transnational cooperation of its two sections at this anniversary event.
In addition, the Richard Pyritz Prize was awarded in a festive ceremony in recognition of the commendable work of Richard Pyritz in building German-Polish relations and Rotarian youth encounters. As co-founder of the ICC Poland in 1992 and as a tireless mediator for German-Polish understanding and friendship, this prize is dedicated to his honourable memory.
